The Beach Mining opened on Oct 9, 2011. You need only to fill out the form for mining on the beach. The actual Beach Mining Permit is found on the current Link. This is a 5 year permit that is free.  Check every box so you can go in all areas and use all equipment. If you have the permit you can supervise others to use thier equipement on the beach.  Talking with others. The black sand found on some of the beaches have produced about a pennyweight of gold every day of working the black sands.  While there is snow in the mountains here is a good way to spend some time using your equipment before the season begins and we can get into the claims.
